Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Sep 28 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low, and the visible disk was spotless. A filament was observed disappearing in H-alpha images at around 27/0600 UTC from the extreme southeast quadrant of the sun, but no Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels through the period (28-30 Sep).
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels during the period. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels throughout the period.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels throughout the forecast period (28-30 Sep). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind speeds averaged near 425 km/s, before tapering off to 400km/s near the end of the period. Total field averaged at or below 5 nT, and the Bz component has been +/- 4 nT. The phi angle has been mostly positive.
Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to be at mostly nominal conditions for the period (28-30 Sep).
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet levels through the period (28-30 Sep).
