Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain very low all three days.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a maximum flux of 10,832 pfu at 07/2030 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach at high levels on 08-09 Nov. 10 Nov is likely to experience normal to moderate levels due to CH HSS influences. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels all three days.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were indicative of a return to a slow solar wind regime. Solar wind speed averaged primarily between 425-475 km/s. Total field strength varied between 4 to 7 nT, while the Bz component was variable and reached -7 nT. The phi angle was variable between sectors.
Forecast: Slightly enhanced solar wind parameters are expected on 08-09 Nov. Later on 09 and through 10 Nov, the solar wind environment is expected to become enhanced due to CIR arrival and subsequent onset of a negative polarity CH HSS.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be primarily quiet to unsettled on 08-09 Nov. Anticipated arrival of a CIR ahead of a negative polarity CH HSS is expected to result in unsettled to active conditions, with likely periods of G1 (Minor) storm levels later on 09 Nov and through 10 Nov.
