Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Aug 14 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low under a spotless visible disk. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain very low on 14-16 Aug.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at high levels with a maximum flux of 5,340 pfu at 13/1725 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at moderate to high levels on 14-16 Aug. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters continued to reflect a slightly enhanced solar wind environment. Wind speeds remained between 450-490 km/s throughout the period. Total field ranged between 1 and 6 nT, and the Bz component underwent no significant southward deflections. Phi was predominately in a positive orientation, only undertaking brief, excursions into a negative solar sector early in the period.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to return to predominantly ambient, back-ground levels over the course of 14-15 Aug. Conditions should remain relatively quiet until 16 Aug when an anticipated CH HSS moves into a geoeffective position.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet levels throughout the period.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at mostly quiet levels for 14-15 Aug. Unsettled periods are expected on 16 Aug as a CH HSS moves into geoeffective position.
