Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Oct 09 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The visible disk was spotless, and no Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low 09-11 Oct.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels through 11 Oct. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels for the next three days.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters became slightly elevated late in the period due to a SSBC. Total field values rose to 8-9 nT, and the Bz component underwent a sustained southward deflection of -7 to -8 nT. Wind speeds also slightly increased during this time from ~375 km/s to 415 km/s. The phi angle oscillated between positive and negative solar sectors.

Forecast: Slightly elevated conditions are expected to continue for the remainder of 09 OCT. A mostly ambient-like, background environment is expected 10-11 OCT.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled, with an isolated active period.

Forecast: Quiet to unsettled conditions, with a chance of an isolated active period, are expected 09 OCT due to a SSBC causing an enhanced geomagnetic field. Mostly quiet conditions are expected 10-11 OCT.
