Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low with no sunspots present on the visible disk. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available chronograph imagery.
Forecast: Very low solar activity is expected on 28-30 Nov.
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels, with a peak flux of 1,760 pfu observed at 27/1905 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to remain at moderate to high levels on 28-30 Nov. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were indicative of nominal conditions. Total field values ranged from 3-6 nT, and the Bz component underwent a brief southward deflection of -4 nT. Wind speeds saw a decrease over the period, falling from 390-405 km/s to ~330 km/s. The phi angle was predominantly in a positive solar sector, but settled into a negative orientation around 28/0530 UTC.
Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to be mostly nominal for 28-30 Nov.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet levels.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to remain at mostly quiet levels for 28-30 Nov.
