Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Apr 22 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels on 22-24 Apr.
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 22-24 Apr. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters indicated a slightly disturbed environment through the first half of the period, likely a combination of residual CME effects and CH HSS influence. Winds speeds increased from about 390 km/s to near 510 km/s. Total field reached 11 nT, while the Bz component saw a southward deflection to -9 nT. Phi angle remained in a mostly negative orientation. The second half of the period saw a slight decrease in wind speeds to average about 465 km/s. Total field ranged between 3-5 nT, while the Bz component generally varied between +3 to -4 nT. Phi was in a mostly negative orientation with some positive oscillations.
Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to remain slightly enhanced on 22 Apr as CH HSS effects continue to influence the solar wind environment. Solar wind speed is expected to be mostly in the 400-500 km/s ranged based on recurrent values, as well as values observed at the STEREO spacecraft nearly six days ago. The weak enhancements are expected to last through 23 Apr.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at mostly quiet to unsettled levels with an isolated active period from 21/1500-1800 UTC.
Forecast: Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected, with a chance for isolated active levels, on 22-23 Apr as CH HSS influence persists. Conditions should return to near background levels by 24 Apr as HSS influence subsides.
