Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Jan 11 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The solar disk remained spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low on 11-13 Jan.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 11-13 Jan. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected a nominal environment until approximately 11/0823 UTC. At this time density, temperature and wind speed increased. Wind speed rose to 357 km/s at 11/1108 UTC. Total field rose to 13 nT while Bz decreased to -4 nT. Phi angle remained in the negative (towards) orientation.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to remain slightly enhanced for the remainder of 11 Jan as this slow moving transient continues to influence the magnetosphere. Nominal conditions are expected to return on 12-13 Jan.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is likely to reach isolated unsettled conditions on 11 Jan in response to the aforementioned slow moving transient. Quiet conditions are expected on 12-13 Jan.
