Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Feb 16 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. There were no sunspots on the visible disk or inbound CMEs observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels on 16-18 Feb.
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels through 17 Feb. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: The solar wind parameters were slightly enhanced this period. Total field was at 7-10 nT and the Bz component underwent sustained, southward deflections of -6 to -8 nT from ~16/0157-0830 UTC. Wind speeds saw a small uptick during the aforementioned time from, climbing from 330 km/s to ~370 km/s. Phi oscillated between positive and negative solar sectors.
Forecast: Slight enhancements to the solar wind environment are expected to continue over the course of 16 Feb. A return to nominal conditions is anticipated for 17-18 Feb.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to active.
Forecast Quiet to unsettled conditions, with a chance for isolated active periods, are anticipated to continue 16 Feb. Mostly quiet levels are expected on 17-18 Feb.
