Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Mar 07 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2806 (S31W57, Dro/beta) reemerged, producing low-level B-class activity in the process. Region 2807 (S18W15, Axx/alpha) remained quiet. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels over 07-09 Mar.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit reached high levels due to CH HSS influence. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at moderate to high levels throughout 07-09 Mar. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected continued influence of a positive polarity CH HSS. Total magnetic field strength declined to at or below 5 nT after 06/1445 UTC. The Bz component was mostly positive but briefly reached as far south as -4 nT. Solar wind speeds declined from a peak of 600 km/s to near 500 km/s by the end of the reporting period. Phi angle was predominantly oriented in the positive sector.

Forecast: The solar wind speed is expected to remain elevated under the influence of a CH HSS through 09 Mar.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels under CH HSS influence.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is likely to continue at quiet to unsettled levels on 07-09 Mar under gradually declining influence of a CH HSS.
