Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 May 08 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity reached moderate levels. Region 2822 (N18E63, Dso/beta) produced an M3/1n flare at 07/1904 UTC, the largest of the period. A Type II (816 km/s) and Type IV radio sweep were both observed with the event. Analysis and modeling of the associated CME suggested the ejecta was directed entirely eastward and no component likely to propagate along the Sun-Earth line.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels, with a chance for C-class flares on 08-10 May.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be normal to moderate 08-10 May and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected nominal conditions. Total magnetic field strength was at or below 6 nT. Solar wind speeds were between ~285-335 km/s. Phi angle was oriented in the positive sector.
Forecast: Solar wind parameters are likely to remain nominal over 08 May. A weak enhancement from interaction with a negative polarity CH HSS is possible on 09-10 May.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet, with isolated unsettled periods possible on 09-10 May.
