Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Jun 28 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was at low levels. Region 2835 (S18E32, Dso/beta) was stable and produced B-class activity. Region 2836 (S27E28, Cro/beta) produced the largest flare of the period, a C2 flare at 28/0935 UTC. A broad, slow-moving CME was observed off the west limb beginning at 27/0130 UTC. The CME appears to have resulted from a filament eruption on or behind the NW limb, and analysis is underway in order to determine if the CME has an Earth-directed component.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low with a chance for C-class flares over 28-30 Jun.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be normal to moderate over 28-30 Jun and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were indicative of an ambient solar wind environment. Solar wind speeds meandered at around 350 km/s. Total field strength was steady near 4 nT and Bz was at +/- 3 nT. The phi angle was positive.
Forecast: An ambient solar wind environment is expected to prevail over 28-29 Jun. An enhancement is expected on 30 Jun due to effects of a SSBC and the influence of a positive polarity CH HSS.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet over 28-29 Jun. Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected on 30 Jun due to the effects of a SSBC and positive polarity CH HSS influence.
