Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2022 Sep 26 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was at low levels. The largest flare was a C4.7 at 26/0911 UTC from Region 3107 (S25E06, Eai/beta-gamma). Region 3110 (N16E40, Ehi/beta) produced multiple C1 flares. All spotted regions appeared to be in decay over the period. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be low with a chance for M-class flare (R1-R2, Minor-Moderate) activity over 26-28 Sep.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 2,130 pfu observed at 25/1555 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 26-28 Sep and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were nominal. A slow increase in density began after 25/2000 UTC. Solar wind speed ranged from 289-377 km/s. Total field ranged from 1-6 nT while the Bz component was between +/-3 nT. Phi angle was predominantly positive.
Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to become weakly enhanced on 27-28 Sep in response to negative polarity CH HSS influences.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected to prevail over 26-28 Sep, with weak negative polarity CH HSS influences possible on 27-28 Sep.
