Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2022 Oct 24 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was low. Region 3126 (S10W44, Dac/beta) exhibited rapid growth and produced the periods largest C-flare. A new, unnumbered spot group was observed near the NE limb. No Earth-directed CMEs were detected in available imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be low over 24-26 Oct.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be normal to moderate over 24-26 Oct and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Negative polarity CH HSS influences persisted this period. The magnetic field returned to background levels while wind speeds remained elevated.
Forecast: Negative polarity CH HSS influences are expected to weaken over 24-25 Oct. Background conditions are expected to prevail over 26 Oct.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to active under negative polarity CH HSS influences.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to reach active levels on 24-25 Oct under continued negative polarity CH HSS influences. Mostly quiet conditions are expected to prevail on 26 Oct.
