Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2022 Oct 29 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was low. New Region 3135 (N27E59, Dao/beta) produced multiple low level C-flares this period and exhibited growth. The remaining five regions were either stable or in decay. No Earth-directed CMEs were detected in available data.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low with a chance for C-class flare activity over 29-31 Oct.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be normal to moderate over 29-31 Oct and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: The solar wind environment was enhanced under positive polarity CH HSS influences this period. Total field strength reached 12 nT, Bz briefly reached -11 nT, and solar wind speeds reached 600 km/s.

Forecast: Enhanced solar wind conditions are expected to prevail over 29-31 Oct under continued CH HSS influences.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field reached minor storm levels this period due to positive polarity CH HSS influences.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to reach minor storm levels on 29-30, with active levels expected on 31 Oct, due to sustained positive polarity CH HSS influences.
