For the same reason that TV Mfrs never installed an inexpensive HP
filter on every TV. Each one by itself is inexpensive; however, tens of
thousands of units will add up quickly, cut into profits, and 99.9% will
be unnecessary since the units won't be placed anywhere near an HF xmtr
(for TVs) or rcvr (for ionic filters).
