Tom,

The information you have provided to the ham radio community has made you a
legend. Your web page is filled with good solid technical data. You
participate on this and other forums, contributing your specialized technical
training and experience -- all gratus. I thank you. There are several other
"greats" on this and other reflectors that contribute regularily on various
topics related to their expertise. I thank them too for their careful and
respectful responses.

Several people responded to me privately after Jim's onerous and belittling
post. They responded direct to me (privately) because they are unwilling to
expose themselves to the ridicule that often comes in response to publicly
failing to use technical terms in an exacting way, failing to understand
notions that can take a specialist years to grasp and master. The fact that I
do not understand surge impedances on random lines, the vagaries of various
ferrite mixes, and the subtle nuances of EMI/RFI does not make me an idiot.
Ignorant maybe, but not an idiot.

If there is a solution to this COP problem, and I can figure it out on my own,
in a vacuum, I will announce my findings so that others can attempt to
replicate my results.

Thanks for the help. I owe ya...
