Interesting subject. My questions-

Does the mfgr say anything about other "after market" electrical
installations? (stereo, etc) I.e., are they worried about people
screwing with the wiring?

Police vehicles naturally allow for RF installations. Is there a
police (public service) version of the vehicle?

Maybe they look at the regs and see that hams transmit at 1.5 kW on
many bands. With a dirty installation, a fraction of that could end
up in the control wiring and send you into a collision. So this
language is probably based on somebody's worst-case engineering and
legal analysis. But it would be nice to know. Hopefully it's not the
wave of the future, but it could be.
