Joe, If you suspect lawn lights, search the archives for the subject 'Low voltage lighting solid state "transformers"' for one possibility. Do you have overhead power lines in your area? Although it unfortunately doesn't cover 80, if I remember correctly Radio Shack sold this little Grundig/Eton "Mini 300 World Band Receiver" to me for less than $50.
