Warning: Many of the new HVAC systems are promoting
variable-speed motors in their design - it is one way
that they increase the "magic" SEER.
The idea is that since the fan runs at a lower speed
at start-up it allows the coil to stay colder longer,
or something like that.
It would be valuable if someone has made some tests
of these things before more Hams mistakenly have then
installed - and it would also equip Hams to educate
their neighbors!
