Also, there is often a sub-system that pulses the batteries with high 
current to prevent their degradation. It also produces noise. If this 
current, and the noise current of the inverter flows in a large loop, it 
produces a strong magnetic field (sometimes called an induction field) 
and also effectively works as an antenna to radiate the noise.  If the 
current flows in a very small loop, the field is weak and there is 
little antenna action.

All of this is DIRECTLY related to the design of the equipment and the 
details of the installation.
