Well, to be honest, it might be cheaper and faster to get a new pulse type unit for him and even help install it properly. Worth a shot and everyone can be happy. Do you have an impulse noise limiter in your radio? I live out in BFE and there are several pulse type fences in the area, some so hot I hear them over the phone, but, nothing in my receiver, even in AM with the NB turned on.
