Hi Tom,
Lack of a grounding electrode shouldn't affect RFI; however, if
its true it isn't compliant with the National Electric Code and\ it
might be an electrical safety hazard.
Are you sure your service ground isn't connected to a water
pipe or a Ufer ground (uncommon in the 1960s).
