I have been asked what hardware is used in my neighbor's system. I just
looked at it and
The inverter is an Aurora Power-One inverter.
A Google search gave me the following information:
- The system does not appear to have either Power Optimizers
(SolarEdge) or Micro Inverters
- The system appears to have two strings of panels
- The system appears to series connect the panels in each string
- The system design is several years old, copyright date on the
installation and user manual is 2009
This is the extent of my knowledge of this system. My neighbor is not a
techie and does not know more.
It is important to note that all panels are fully exposed to the sun
throughout the day. There are no trees or other shielding elements which
would prevent any panel to be shielded from sun exposure. The only
possibility of one are of the roof being shielded while another part is not
would be due to a passing cloud.
