I have one very similar to the Black & Decker unit, but mine has metering.
Just say NO if you don't want to give up HF. I use mine to keep the camper
battery charged during the winter. On only when I'm sleeping..... Mine
was Harbor Freight, but can't believe they're not all made by the same CM
in China. They're awful on HF. So disgusted I never tried VHF! Find
something better!!!
