If there's no pole fire do not call the fire department to report a pole fire. 
That's not what the amateur radio community needs going on or you'll never get 
a response.
The lineman doing a job gets a call for a pole fire and in a rush to get to 
that pole fire, which doesn't really exist, he makes a mistake and has an 
accident. 
These Sparks are made with very little current and create close to no heat at 
all and almost never create fires. It's unfortunate that they don't always 
respond in the way that makes people happy but the last thing you want to do is 
miss-represent something to create an emergency situation. Let's not forget who 
We are!
