Hi,
as a polite HAM I will send my claimed scores to 3830@contesting.com
via e-Mail. Let see, if the e-Mail will be accepted, because I am not
subscribed to this funny reflector. I have not filled out the form online,
because I am a stingy person, you should know .. ~:-)
Anyway; made 850 Q's and 841620 total points - mostly S&P - with 80 Watt.
When I am S&P .. sometimes I am forgetting the score and love to work
some stations on an allmost dead band.
Allways I enjoy to work HC8N. Boy, good OP's there, my compliment!
With my micro-setup I have worked this station on 4 bands in every
contest. It's not a question of power and antenna, it's just a question,
if you have learned their operating style and if you have a feeling
for the right timing. Usually I need less than 2 minutes to log this mult.
It is the same rule, allways: "You work the most DX by listening". ;-)
About the VE-discussion; I am sure, the sponsor of this contest is not
narrow-minded and will find a way to make everybody happy. If we see some
changes in the rules for 2002 - I hope(!) - the sponsor will remember the
background, why USA States and Canadian provinces are multipliers, like
DXCC- and WAE-entities? As we know, the CQ/RJ WW is not a contest with
a little WPX-addition, do we? ;-)

PS: A free Cabrillo converter will be available very soon, stay tuned!

Big antennas, high in the sky, are better than small ones, low!
