Casual Comments:
This is a great contest and the only one I usually participate for
the allotted time. My exasperation this year was to not have an
antenna on 80 meters. The tree that was holding up my Carolina Windom
got chopped down by the local city. The story was the tree was old and
could fall on a bridge that the city wanted placed on my neighbors
property.
I had some time to put up another one but procrastinated to the point
of the weather getting too cold and snowy to get it up again on another
tree. Good high trees are hard to find.

My goal was to hit 1000 Qs and 100,000 points. I missed it but...
I bettered my score of last year by a small margin and I attribute that
to my familiarity now with the software. Guess I need to use 2 radios.
ND was nowhere to be heard either pouncing or running. I also missed
KH6 but guess I was on the 20 meters too much. I had the quad pointed
at them for much of the 15 and 10 meter period but didn't hear anything.
Guess I am missing lots of Europeans by the indication of the numbers
I saw coming through. It is always nice to get a 001 from a casual rtty'r
though. Many thanks to all that called (and answered).
