Ron, you're talking about one TRANSMITTER on the air at a time.  That is
emphatically NOT the issue being discussed.  Everyone recognizes that
single ops can only have one transmitted signal at a time.

The controversy is over multiple RECEIVERS in use at the same time.  The
SO2R op is able to listen 100% of the time during the contest, even
while transmitting, and on different bands if he likes.  This is a huge
advantage and it's why people go to the trouble and expense to equip
their stations that way.
