HI Walt and all,

I noticed exactly the same - my impression was it is a feature of some
software used mainly by stations in the former(?) CIS.

And thanks for your interesting report Walt! Although I worked 15 SB,
I noticed auroral effects on all W stations around 1500-1600 UTC on
Saturday. This corresponds with marked variations of the earths magnetic
field at the time. Juliusruh in northern Germany reported K5 for the period
1500-1800 UTC on Saturday.
