WriteLog has had this same stateful Enter key feature for several years now
and I use it in my RTTY contesting. However, the WriteLog implementation
could be improved a bit in a couple of the details. For example 'Enter'
will not select a highlighted call sign from the Rttyrite window as an
Accelerator key will do, e.g., the Insert key.

I use TR-Log for CW contesting, so this stateful Enter key feature is
well-known and much appreciated, being pioneered by N6TR in TR-Log. Many of
us have found this very natural and intuitive while other contesters
experience the feature as totally confusing because the key does something
different every time you press it and seemingly unexpected. Fortunately,
there are lots of loggers for people to choose from and find what works best
for them.
