All true, but overcoming those is half the fun. I have eight states
worked from my So Calif QTH, including Florida, Michigan and South
Dakota. I don't recall any of them being particularly difficult. I do
have a good antenna (full size inverted vee with apex at 70 feet) and
1500 watts, so that helps. No beverages or RX loops, though.

There are not many "firsts" left in ham radio, but to the best of my
knowledge, nobody has Worked All States on 160 meter RTTY. Who will be
the first?
