While I agree, I doubt if they have "a corner on the market"? Many, I'm sure
feel the same way about Louisville, during Kentucky Derby week! My favorite
memories from those meetings/dinners, was being able to put a face with some
of the call signs that I had seen, many times, on my screen! Darn, a lot of
y'all are uuuugly! :)))
Seriously, a lot of work and dedication went into those meetings/dinners,
and it will take the same amount of work/dedication, to reestablish them?
IMHO, the first step would be establishing a "central point" where RTTY'ers
could stay, without costing the proverbial "arm and leg"? Someone, with more
time/energy than I, will have to "get this off the ground"? About all of my
"Dayton", time/energy/patience is exhausted, dealing with the HamVention
folks about getting a favorable date/time for the RTTY forum.
