Thank you, Art - that's a very kind thought. I'm reasonably on top of
the editing process, and have even read the MMTTY help file, but am
still struggling to understand how each of those configurable parameters
may affect decoding.

Just a reminder that packet is allowed in ALL entry classes.

The CQ magazine site is very tough to navigate and has broken links to
the
rules and did not even list this link. The contest rules section could
use
some work. Thank you Google!

I know everyone is getting ready for K5D and/or WPX, but does anyone
know what's the story on the Green Keys mailing list?
I've got an old TU that I want to do something with, and while parting
it out is sorta tempting (lots of great boat anchor parts), I'd like
to see if anyone wants it as is.

Granted... but this discussion was specifically about making the best
use of the facilities available within the MMTTY engine. There are many
full-featured RTTY programs to choose from, but MMTTY is one of the very
few that provides a minimalist plugin that can be integrated with the
user's existing choice of logging software. For many of us, MMTTY is
"the only game in town", so we're trying to sweat it for the maximum
possible performance within its known limitations.
>>>I plan a concerted effort to update and improve MMTTY's RTTY decoding
mechanism, and will consider all of the techniques that Chen W7AY has
been
suggesting over the past month. However, there are some DXLab projects I
will attend to first, so these MMTTY improvements are not imminent.

First attempt at SO2R (any mode) with N1MM and MMTTY. Glad to have the
practice ... things generally worked OK, but a few rough edges that I
can
try to work out before the real thing. Thanks for the Qs...

The SSB practice was pretty lightly attended.
I managed about 10 contacts in the 2200Z RTTY Session today. Only qso
on 40
was with P49X. Loud long before sunset.
