The ARRL has announced a new contest specifically for new amateur
radio operators. It's called the ARRL Rookie Roundup, and is limited to
entry by single-operators who have been licensed for three years or less.
There are three separate versions of the contest, one each for SSB, CW,
and RTTY. Each contest is six hours long on a Saturday afternoon. The
first
one is the SSB roundup on April 18.
