Comments:
Better propagation to EU than in the SPDX RTTY contest, but NA was largely
missing in action! Not sure if it was propagation or just not enough souls
interested in 75 baud.
Being spotted in this contest has its disadvantages. I was called by several
folks running 45 baud, who obviously got my call off a DX cluster spot, and had
no clue what I was sending. Since they were at 45 baud I had no clue who was
calling me so those who thought they could easily add an AK RTTY QSO to their
log went away disappointed. The problem for me was the QRM they created by
sitting on my frequency and constantly calling time after time at the wrong
speed!
I was very impressed with the performance of 2Tone. It decoded many exchanges
that MMTTY missed entirely.
73,
Gary AL9A
