The new ARRL letter arrived today and this is what I sent to my
division director.
Hi Cliff,
Sorry to bug you again but this thing won't go away. In todays ARRL letter was an
explanation
concerning RM-11708 with this statement "ARRL said comments opposed to its initiative
reflect
a "fundamental misunderstanding" of the petition's intent". There might not have been
a
misuderstanding had ARRL presented this for input BEFORE submitting it to the
FCC.
The way this reads only those opposed "misunderstood" the intent so it stands to
reason that
those in favor, Winlink (comments generated by the network admin solicitation on
MARINE
web sites and others), Emcomm and those desiring Pactor 4 legalization understood
exactly
what the petition was about. Sad state of affairs that diminishes ARRL standing.
