Dick,
I saw you calling a few times over the weekend. One time in particular, you
were attempting to answer a CQ by S51AF. I believe this was either just
before or after I worked him on 20 meters at 2035z on May 10th. You were way
off his frequency. It appeared to be by as much as the shift amount (170
Hz). In fact, I even transmitted a short message calling you by name and
mentioning that you were off frequency, but I got no response.
Since I am using a completely different setup here than you, I can't offer
any suggestions as to why this was happening, but I have worked you in the
past, and heard you working other stations in the past, with no offset
problem. Except for the frequency offset, your signal was clean here. The
band wasn't that great, but you were perfectly readable when I tuned you in.
Hope you can sort it out without too much difficulty.
