I am guessing the W1AW-on-W1AW/0 QRM was the weeknight code practice or
code bulletin on 3581.5kc CW which is a "primo spot" on RTTY band plans.
Pretty primo right up until HQ starts start warming up their CW
transmissions.

I think 3581.5kc CW dates back to the days when some novice-oriented
receivers had limited bandspread.

W1AW HQ CW comes up like clockwork during the Thursday night NCCC RTTY
sprints. Rather than suggest the W1AW HQ change a frequency they've been
using for half a century (? I think that's right) we might just regard 3583
as the bottom of the RTTY segment for weeknight purposes.

I am all in favor of W1AW continuing code practice and bulletin
transmissions. I might give it a try, to put a new sticker on my old code
proficiency certificate :-)

On east coast in evenings, 80M is most desirable frequency for W1AW
scheduled transmissions. Sometimes 40M has gone long by evening.
