Hi Jeff,

Ah, I hadn't thought of that possibility! Yes, you are right, and it
possibly was of that style.

While I am on the keyboard, the other thing that bugged me were the CQ'ing
folk who sent QRZ? Or AGN??, and then sent TU 599 123 BK, and wondered why I
asked for a repeat of the number, only to get exactly the same back.
Given the solar conditions during the last 8 - 10 hours of the contest, even
sending the serial 3 times was only just about making it. I also had a
similar issue with some W stations, where I got VA PA in the reply.

On the upside, there did seem to be a lot of "new" calls around, many of
which were not clubs, but individuals.
I wonder if this is a legacy from the Centennial QSO Party?
