[RTTY] MMTTY XY Scope

First off I am not really sure how much the XY scope tells me about my 
transmitted signal.  During the RU when I was in TX sometimes I would 
see a perfect XY scope picture, sometimes it would be very small, 
sometimes it was one horizontal bar.  None of these conditions had any 
effect on my operation.
I know that the single horz bar can be seen when FSK is not setup 
properly but that was not the case.
Any ideas?
