Never too old to learn. AC0C's suggestion to not send QRL? before starting a run and instead watching the waterfall was excellent. I run a Flex 6300 which has a beautiful 15 second waterfall (adjustable) and it makes perfect sense to use that to find a clear frequency instead of potentially QRMing someone with a QRL?
