At 0021 UTC on Thursday October 12, 2016 I worked RL4F on 7042.917 kHz here
in central Florida. Most of the activity begins showing up from Europe
around 0000 UTC.
I usually see a few signals each evening between 7040-7045 kHz. I also see
some stateside activity around 7080 kHz. But 40 meters is for sure not as
active a band as say 20 meters, especially in the summer season with all of
the lightning crashes.
