Subject: Re: [RTTY] MMVARI and 2Tone (stand-alone?)
Thanks for the info. However, I am a bit confused.
In AFSK,
if one starts 2Tone within N1MM+ MMTTY interface (or WinWarbler, etc.), which
one does the transmitting 2Tone or the MMTTY, please?
>>>In WinWarbler, 2-Tone is "receive only"; it is not used for transmission.
>>>AFSK or FSK transmission can be accomplished via the
MMTTY engine, via an external modem (KAM, PK232, etc), or via an Elecraft K3.
Once, I was told that in such a tandem 2Tone just copy the receiving part,
while MMTTY does both transmitting and an independent
(from 2Tone) receiving.
>>>That's correct for WinWarbler.
>>>WinWarbler can also display RTTY decoded from a third source in addition to
>>>2-Tone and MMTTY: an external modem, an Elecraft K3,
or VE3NEA's GRITTY application.
