Hello all,

With respect to all.

After this message from Rick, there should be no more grousing/bitching/complaining.

He shouldn't have to, nor be expected to 'fall on his sword', over any errors dealing with WAE.

Put things in some perspective.  These are unintentional software bugs, introduced while attempting to improve the program, by someone not getting paid for any of his time or efforts, to satisfy people who, in my opinion, become too obsessed with the issue, and show no appreciation to any of the developers.   If you have issues you can't get past, get your money back, buy a better program, or build one yourself.

I am no cheerleader for the development team; there are bugs/changes that I've had heartburn with, but once put into perspective with contesting, my own narrow-minded needs and ham radio in general, they don't amount to anything to get worked up over.

There was a change that I made to the QTC routines for WAE SSB.
Unintentional doing so broke the receiving of QTC for RTTY. On Saturday
morning I made a change that corrected this and a update was posted to the
N1MM group. In the latest public update yesterday 2 other errors reported by
user have also been fixed and the QTC operation should be back to the way it
was previously. I had done testing before the WEA contest but on my
development computer I had not noticed the bugs that were visible in the
full release. I do apologize that I did not detect and correct them before
the contest started..

Several times I sent QTCs, was asked to repeat all, then had the receiving
station give up. They had all the data but could not enter it in N1MM+. If
they then sent to me it was fine except for missed CRLFs, which put 2 or 3
QTC lines on the screen with no breaks. That was a real problem to manually
enter and lost a lot of time.

In previous years I have found the QTCs easy to handle. Either the
conditions were so much worse this time or something has changed in the
N1MM+ routine. Did anyone else have these problems?
