Interesting comments from everybody.
I took a look at past logs for both the Aug and the Jan NAQPs, although I'm
sure there is quite a difference between Summer and Winter contests, and the
good weather and poor condx may make things even more 'different.'
My best rates have been the 2100-220Z and 0100-0200Z hours. My worst rates
have often been within the first two hours. Rates for the last two hours
have been good - often consisting of good runs on 160, even from this
pip-squeak antenna farm. This past January I had a 75 hour from 0500-0600Z.
Think Ill be looking hard at propagation just before the start, and I
suspect if the higher bands are bad Ill be taking most of the 2 hours during
the first three hours.
Greg is right, with bad condx, we could do very well down here.
