This is to remind you to take a look at the new proposed rules for GQP as are
now posted on the web site www.gqp.contesting.com .
I had put a note out last week, but most folks were busy with the big
contest. My err there was gently pointed out.
I was hoping to work on the first 6 items and then go on to the larger topics
of splitting CW/SSB/Mixed, and the connected topic of awards if any changes are
made....
But, Lets go for the whole thing, as I lost us a week.
Tommy, Hal, and I have worked on the proposed changes.
Most of the changes came from prior notes and discussion here, or from my
experience in score work.
For the most part they are basic, and restated for better reading, easier
rover logging, more participation, or to make my job a bit easier for scores.
There are a few changes in #1 thru #6 though, and we ask your help in making
them better.
#7 and the rest was not changed, pending discussions here.
Personally:
I do favor a restructure for CW/PH/Mixed classes. We would then have to
approach current sponsors for changes, and find some new sponsors for added
classes.
There is not any impact to the logging programs, as these award classes are
sorted out in score work. More creative changes may/may not impact software.
Again, sorry for the false start during such a busy time.
