TX Antenna: 60' "T" vertical w/12 elevated radials. RX 4 550' and a
200' (towards asia) beverages. FT1000MP, LK800, Writlog.
About 30 minutes into the test, I discovered that the beverage towards
the southeast was broken! Too dark to fix it, so did without. Rained
most of the day on Saturday so again, I couldn't fix it. Missed VE4,
although I heard VE4VV one time working another station. Like most
everyone else the static the second night forced me to shut down. Can't
work 'em if I can't hear 'em! One other point of interest, I had may
Europeans call me, many more that last weekend in the CQWW. Were
conditions that much better? I can't believe that my 80M antenna is
less efficient than my 160M.
