I have three Alphas for sale from my personal collection. All three work
and are in excellent condition although I have not used them since moving up
from Plantation. Since I moved to Stuart, I have no further need for the
Alphas as I have scaled back on my station and use only the PW-1
when I need a little more power than the 200 Watts from my IC-7800. These
amps are the best you will find. If

first to those willing to pay the price asked.

Alpha 76-CA - This is the three tube (8874) model with the extra-duty,
epoxy-encapsulated Hipersil power transformer. This has been restored to
look brand new and works perfectly with full output. It is a late serial
number. The original swamping pack has been replaced with the Alpha Low
Drive Pack. The old RCA input jack has been replaced with a BNC jack. Has
a brand new black Alpha front panel and brand new Alpha cabinet with new
Alpha rubber feet and new Alpha bale. All six bleeder resistors (R7-12)
have been replaced with new resistors supplied by Alpha. Comes with
original manual and gray felt cover, embroidered "Alpha 76CA" in white
letters - $1750

accessory fan option installed as well as Alpha Max firmware factory
installed by Alpha in June 2000 as well as pin diodes. Not a scratch and
gives full output with a pair of 3CX800A7's. It is truly automatic and you
never have to touch it except to turn it on and off. Comes with original
manual, Alpha Remote software, and black felt radio cover embroidered
"Alpha 77Sx" in
gold letters - $4500

Alpha 77Sx - Go real QRO with a 2-holer. This is the one you've always
really
wanted! It has a pair of 8877's and gives full output. Can your coax and
antenna system handle 4KW? The original 25mfd, 4kv DC filter cap was
replaced (same size) with a Peter Dahl heavy duty 35mfd @ 5000 WVDC, which
dramatically improves voltage regulation. Also has the super heavy duty
Peter Dahl Hipersil power transformer which will deliver 1 Amp per tube at
full output voltage. The Alpha Low Drive option was also professionally
installed.
This Alpha has a brand new black front panel and brand new black top and
side panels. It looks really sharp and doesn't have a scratch on it. Comes
