This Week's Contests:

1. FISTS CW Club Get Your Feet Wet Weekend. Friday through Sunday UTC
(72 hours). 80-10M CW. This is the present successor to the old ARRL
Novice Round-Up. Exchange: RST + Name + SPC + FISTS # or power + last
two digits of year first licensed. No code readers allowed. No memory
keyers or computer keying. Electronic keyers are OK. Sign your call /N
for newcomer or /E for experienced (you make the choice). You can work
everyone. Note the suggested frequencies: 3558, 7110, 14110, 21110, 28110.

2. QRP Fox Hunt. Thursday night local, 0100-0230Z Friday. 14050 to
14070 CW. Exchange: RST + SPC + Name + Power. Work only the two
Foxes. Maximum power 5W.

3. NCCC SNS and NS. Thursday night local, 0200-0220Z Friday. 15, 20,
40, 80M CW. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Maximum power 100W.
Maximum speed 18 WPM at start up to 26 WPM at end. One kHz QSY rule.

NS Ladder. 0230-0259Z Friday (Thursday night local). Same rules as for
SNS except no maximum speeds and add 160M band.

4. PODXS 070 Club Jay Hudak Memorial Sprint. 2000 local Friday to 0200
local Saturday. 80M PSK31. 100W maximum power. Exchange: RST + SPC.

5. WAE DX Contest SSB. 48 hours of weekend UTC. 36 hours maximum for
single ops. 80-10M SSB. Exchange: RS + Serial #. There is a QTC
feature where you can send time/call/QSO# received from up to 10 past
QSOs to a European station in addition to a QSO with that station. There
is a club aggregate score competition.

6. Arkansas QSO Party. 13Z Sat to 01Z Sun. 80-10M + 2M CW, Ph, Dig.
Exchange: RS(T) + SP/DX or AR county. Lots of mobiles plan to be
active, especially on CW.

7. Ohio State Parks on the Air Contest. 16014Z Sat. 80-2M CW, Ph,
Dig. Exchange OH + OH St Park Abbreviation or just S/P/DX. Work only
Ohio State Park stations (not just plain OH stations).

8. ARRL September VHF QSO Party. 18Z Sat to 03Z Mon. 50 mHz and up.
Exchange: 4 character grid square. Hope to work a lot of you on six
meters.

9. QRP ARCI VHF Contest. Same times as ARRL VHF QP. Guess it's sort
of like their Milliwatt Field Day coinciding with ARRL FD. Just send
you score in to VA3JFF instead of or in addition to the ARRL.

10. North American Sprint, CW. 00-04Z Sun (Sat night local). 20, 40,
80M CW. Five and one kHz QSY rules. Exchange: both calls, name, SPC
or "DX." Teams of up to 10 members may be registered. Please advise
K4BAI immediately if you can be on a SECC team.

NA Sprint CW PRACTICE: 0230-0300Z Saturday (Friday night local). Same
rules as for the real thing on Saturday night.

11. Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprintathon. 00-24Z Sunday.
160-6M CW. Use a mechanical key. Exchange: RST, Name, SPC, SKCC# or
"none."

13. Next Wednesday. CWOps club CWT Mini Tests. Three one-hour mini
tests, 13Z Wed, 19Z Wed, and 03Z Thurs (Wed night local). 80, 40, 20M
CW. Exchange: Name and CWOps # or Name and SPC.

Hope everyone has a good week and weekend and a lot of fun and QSOs. I
will be in Macon Thursday and Wednesday and will miss Thursday night's
events. Hope someone else will give out the GA mults in SNS and NS
ladder. Will be full time in NA Sprint CW and will try to make the
practice on Friday night. ARK QSO Party should be fun and there are
still several all-time new counties I could work in that state. ARRL
VHF Contest should be fun if six meters opens and hope to work locals if
it doesn't. SKCC WES will be fun on Sunday. May give out a few QSOs in
WAE SSB, which is a fun contest, but I am rusty on the QTC features of
my logging program and hate to try to use both CT and NA on the same
weekend since I don't seem to be able to get the times synchronized and
have to change the computer clock by four hours whenever I go from one
logging program to the other.

73, John, K4BAI.
