Guess Ill join the chorus. I also think 5 days is too quick for all the
reasons given so far. In addition to which, accepting late logs from
some stations continues to occur and the way that favor gets handed out
continues to be based on inter-personal relationships, a practice that
IMHO should have been stopped years ago. Stations who go this route can
now submit late on day 6 and later instead of day 31 and later. The
place where log massaging and cheating play a role in the results is
pretty much by definition in the top ten. Some top-ten stations are the
ones routinely submitting after the deadline. Moving the deadline isn't
going to help much unless late logs are rejected - per the rules.
